SA isang magulong lugar sa Guimba, Nueva Ecija namulat si Milo, ang ating bida. Bagaman proboinsya, ang kanilang lugar ay magkakadikit ang bahay at ramdam ang kahirapan.

Dahil ganoon lumaki, halos lahat ng kapitbahay ni Milo ay kagaya niyang hindi nakaapak ng paaralan.

Subalit ayaw ni Milo ng ganoon. May pangarap siya at lihim na nag-aral kahit sa sarili lang .

Nang sumapit ang edad 12 ay namasukah sa palengke kargador sa meat section.

Doon ay lumakas ang loob ni Milo, una ay manok ang kayang katayin hanggang sa matutong mangatay ng baboy.

Ang ating bida na nangangatay ng baboy ay walang tigil sa pag-iipon kaya bandang huli ay nagkaroon ng sariling katayan ng baboy kahit maliit.

Nang makapag-asawa ng tindera, ay nagtulungan sila sa pag-aalaga ng baboy at manok kaya lalong umasenso si Mang Milo.

Kahit edad 55 na hindi iniwan ni Mang Milo ang pagkatay ng baboy habang ang dalawang anak na lalaki na nasa kolehiyo na ay tinuturuan niya sa kanilang negosyo upang hindi danasin ang hirap na kanyang narasanan at higit sa lahat makatapos ang mga anak sa pag-aaral, ang pangaral ni Mang Milo.
