ITINAKDA ng Philippine Sports Hall of Fame (PSHOF) 2020 Committee na pinamumunuan ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman William Ramirez ang pagsisimula ng nominasyon sa Marso.
“This is good that we met early so we have ample time to study the nominations,” wika ni Ramirez, kasama ang mga miyembro ng screening committee na kinabibilangan nina Games and Amusement Board (GAB) Chairman Abraham Mitra, Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) Secretary-General Atty. Edwin Gastanes, Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines Secretary-General Atty. Avelino Sumagui, University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Executive Director Atty. Rene Saguisag Jr., and SEA Games gold medalist at Philippine Olympians Association President Akiko Thomson Guevara.
“Seeing some areas for improvement, the body agreed to craft recommendations to amend the PSHOF law. Another resolution is to automatically include as nominees previous eligible nominees but did not make the final cut,” ayon sa board.
“We will check if this is possible with the budget that we have,” ani Ramirez.
