(Noong 2023) CREATIVE ECONOMY LUMAGO SA P1.72-T

PUMALO sa mahigit isang trilyong piso ang paglago ng creative economy ng bansa noong 2023 at nag-ambag ng malaking porsiyento sa gross domestic product (GDP).

Ayon sa Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA), ang creative economy ay nasa P1.72 trillion noong nakaraang taon.

Nag-ambag ito ng 7.1% sa 2023 GDP ng bansa.

Year-on-year, ang creative economy ay lumago ng 6.9% mula P1.61 trillion noong 2022.

Ayon sa PSA, ang creative economy ay binubuo ng mga sumusunod na industriya: audio and audiovisual media activities;  digital interactive goods and service activities; advertising, research and development, and other artistic service activities; symbols and images and other related activities; media publishing and printing activities; music, arts and entertainment activities; visual arts activities; traditional cultural expression activities; at art galleries, museums, ballrooms, conventions and trade shows, and related activities

Ayon sa PSA, sa creative domains, ang symbols and images and other related activities ang may pinakamalaking share sa 31.5% o P541.75 billion sa kabuuang creative economy noong 2023, tumaas ng 2.4% mula P529.12 billion value noong 2022.

Ang advertising, research and development, and other artistic service activities ay nag-ambag ng 21.9%, habang ang digital interactive goods and service activities ay bumubuo sa 21.1% noong nakaraang taon.

Sinabi pa ng PSA na may 7.26 milyong katao ang naka-empleyo sa creative industries noong 2023, na lumago ng 4% mula 6.98 million na employed noong 2022.

Ayon sa ahensiya, ang employment sa traditional cultural expression activities ang nagtala ng pinakamalaking share na 35.5% noong 2023.

Sinundan ito ng symbols and images and other related activities at advertising, research and development, and other artistic service activities na may 30.3% at 17.8%, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
