OCCIDENTAL MINDORO GOVERNOR VOWS HUGE WIN FOR BBM

GOVERNOR Eduardo Gadiano of Occidental Mindoro had vowed to deliver a big win for presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. during his visit to the province on Wednesday.

“We can deliver. Mayor pa ko noon, nadala ko siya sa bayan ng Sablayan,” Gadiano said.

“Halos lahat ng residente supporter ni BBM. Maraming Ilocano dito ako mismo Ilocano kaya lahat dito BBM,” he said.

Gadiano shared that one of the reasons why he opted to support Marcos was his ability to focus on his tasks of delivering to the people his message of unity and reconciliation without being affected by the dirt and criticisms being thrown his way by his detractors.

“Firm siya. Bilib ako sa kanya dahil lahat ng bira sa kanya di niya sinasagot talagang hinahayaan niya sila dahil ang gusto niya pagkakaisa,” he added.

Despite critics underestimating the UniTeam’s call for unity, Gadiano believed that it is the best approach a leader should take in addressing the country’s problems.

“Ang program kasi ay base sa pangangailangan ng tao. Kung focus dun sa tunay na nararamdamang problema ng tao, pag ma-address mo yun mabawasan ang paghihirap ng tao kaya ang ganda ng kanyang approach (na unity),” he said.

During his short meeting with mayors and vice mayors in the province, all the local officials vowed to give their full support for the candidacy of Marcos.

For PFP provincial chairperson Leody Tarriela, the party is doing well in the province.

“The PFP is very good here. I’m very glad ang dami nagsu-suporta dito sa buong probinsya. Ang line-up ng PFP dito all the 11 towns are complete, mayors, vice mayors, all for BBM,” Tarriela said.

Tarriela said he saw how Marcos supports projects, especially community projects, that will surely help the people.

“He is very supportive of all projects lalo na community projects na nagsi-serve sa mga mahihirap nating kababayan lalo na nasa laylayan nakita ko kung paano siya magsuporta,” he said.

“He is a very great leader and I know he will be a great leader of our country,” he added.

His visit to Occidental Mindoro was part of his southern swing in which he intends to revisit several more provinces in both Calabarzon and Mimaropa regions.

Marcos is set to campaign in Oriental Mindoro and Mindoro Occidental before joining Duterte in Batangas later this afternoon.

The UniTeam candidates have been revisiting provinces separately so they could cover more ground in the remaining days of the election campaign.

Duterte will meet with health, tourism and other coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic frontline personnel together with parents in Batangas City this morning.

Tomorrow, Marcos and Duterte are expected to campaign in vote-rich Laguna.

The UniTeam candidates have paid tribute and honored these government employees, along with local officials, for leading the fight against the highly infectious new COVID-19.

Now that the national government, together with local government units, has controlled the spread of the virus, Marcos and Duterte are advocating the continued reopening of the economy so people could recover lost jobs and livelihood.

Duterte is also scheduled to meet with workers of a big food manufacturing company before proceeding to Lipa City, Batangas for the UniTeam rally.

She has visited Batangas at least twice in the course of the election campaign.

The UniTeam tandem will also meet with local officials.

Provincial leaders of Batangas led by Gov. Hermilando Mandanas have earlier pledged their support for Marcos and Duterte.
