BUMABA ang reproduction number ng COVID-19 sa Metro Manila isang linggo bago ang muling pagpapatupad ng mas mahigpit na quarantine status sa rehiyon.

Sa pinakahuling datos na inilabas ng UP OCTA research group, lumabas na bumaba sa 1.23 ang reproduction number ng virus sa dating 1.88.

Habang -9% naman ang naitalang growth rate ng virus sa nakalipas na linggo habang nasa 25% naman ang positivity rate ng virus.

Mababatid na ang reproduction number ay tumutukoy sa bilang ng mga taong maaaring mahawaan ng isang taong positibo na sa COVID-19.

Bagamat naitala ang mababang reproduction number ng virus, inirerekomenda pa rin ng research group na palawigin pa ang umiiral na Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

Pero kung hindi kaya ng ekonomiya, sana raw ay modified ECQ ang ipatupad ng dalawang linggo para mas lalo pang mapabagal ang pagkalat ng virus. DWIZ882
