ONLINE TRADE FAIR PARA SA PWD ENTREPS INILUNSAD NG DTI

BINUKSAN kahapon ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ang online trade fair na tinatampukan ng mga produkto ng persons with disability (PWD) entrepreneurs kaugnay sa selebrasyon ng 42nd National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week.

Tampok sa Biz-Ability Online Trade Fair, na tatagal sa August 12, ang mga produkto ng PWD entrepreneurs sa Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion’s (BDTP) Facebook page www.facebook.com/DTI.BDTP.

Paunang lalahok sa online trade fair ang anim na micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) na pag-aari ng PWDs na gumagawa ng fashion accessories, wearable items, bags, face masks, ice cream, sherbet, coco sugar, tofu, gifts, décors, housewares, blankets, at table runners.

Marami pang PWD entrepreneurs ang inaasahang lalahok sa mga darating na araw.

“We continue to give support to our persons with disabi­l­­­ity entrepreneurs in every way we can. The online trade fair we have developed especially for them shows that we acknow­ledge and value the hard work and dedication they put in creating their products/services,” wika ni DTI-PWD focal person, Assistant Secretary Ameenah Fajardo.

Ayon kay Fajardo, ang online platform ay mahalaga para maayos na tumakbo ang mga negosyo sa panahon ng pandemya.

Sinabi naman ni Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez na ang online trade fair para sa PWD entrepreneurs ay nagsusulong ng inclusivity at empowerment para sa differently-abled Filipino business owners.

Aniya, maaari silang tumuklas ng digital platforms sa pag-abot sa kanilang merkado, lalo na sa panahong ito ng pandemya.

“With the persons with disability community by our side as we continue to promote and train MSMEs to go into the e-commerce industry, we will be able to not only adjust to the ‘new normal’ but thrive in a ‘better normal’,” ani Lopez. PNA
