CAVITE – Umaabot sa P1, 295, 354.65 bilyong halaga na ibat ibang uri ng illegal drugs na nakumpiska ng Phil. Drug Emforcement Agency (PDEA) sa serye ng drug bust operations ang sinunog sa Integrated Waste Management, Inc. (IWMI) sa Barangay Aguado, Trece Martirez City kahapon ng umaga.
Tumitimbang na 912, 685.73 gramo na assorted drugs na ginamit na ebidensiya sa pagsasampa ng kaukulang kasong kriminal laban sa mga nasakoteng narcotic supplier, winasak sa pamamagitan ng thermal decomposition o thermolysis na may 1,000 degrees centigrade.
Kabilang sa illegal drugs na nilusaw ay ang methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu); toluene, marijuana, cocaine, MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine) ecstasy; pseudoephedrine, ephedrine, opium, diazepam, nitrazepam, alprazolam, methylephedrine, ketamine, methylphenidate, liquid shabu, expued madicines at GBL (Gamma-Butyrolactone) na may timbang na 102, 680 ml.
Pinangunahan ni PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva ang pagwasak sa nasabing droga na sinaksihan naman nina PNP Chief General Guillermo Eleazar, Cavite PNP P/ Col. Marlon Santos, DOJ, DILG at iba pang opisyal ng PDEA, PNP at ilang media.
Base sa ulat ng PDEA, umaabot sa 567.4 kilong illegal drugs ang nanatiling nasa ibat ibang hukuman kung saan aabot na sa 1.13 toneladang droga ang winasak na ng PDEA nationwide.
Ang nagwasak sa nasabing droga ay alinsunod sa Section 21, Article 11 ng RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) at Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 1 Series of 2002. MHAR BASCO
