P227-B PAUTANG SA AGRI IPINAGKALOOB NOONG HUNYO

MAY kabuuang P227.47 billion na halaga ng agricultural loans ang ipinamahagi hanggang noong Hunyo bilang bahagi ng pinaigting na suporta sa sektor ng agrikultura, ayon sa state-run lender Land Bank of the Philippines.

Sa isang statement, sinabi ng Landbank na sa kabuuang agricultural loans, P35.63 billion ay outstanding loans sa maliliit na magsasaka, mangingisda, kooperatiba at farmers associations.

Kinabibilangan ito ng  direct lending sa mga magsasaka at mangingisda na tumaas ng P219 million o 18.37% mula P1.19 billion noong Mayo sa P1.41 billion noong Hunyo.

“Loans to other players in the agri-business value chain stood at P191.84 billion, of which P141.67 billion was lent to small, medium, and large agribusiness enterprises and P50.17 billion financed agri-aqua related projects of local government units (LGUs) and government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs),” ayon sa LandBank.

Sinabi pa ng state lender na hanggang noong Hunyo ay nasa 1,976,689 maliliit na magsasaka at mangingisda ang natulungan nito sa buong bansa.

Kumakatawan ito sa  98.8% ng 2 million cumulative target nito para sa taon.

Ang bilang ay mas mataas din ng 18% o 300,825 kumpara sa 1,675,864 noong Mayo. Ang pagtaas ay sanhi ng mga bagong tinulungang magsasaka sa ilalim ng Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Financial Subsidy to Rice Farmers (FSRF) Program.

“Of the 1,976,689 farmers and fishers that Landbank has assisted, 1,290,240 were supported through the bank’s various regular loan offerings and lending programs jointly implemented with the DA and the Department of Agrarian Reform.”

Ang nalalabing 218,530 at 467,919 small farmers ay tinulungan sa pamamagitan ng DA’s Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RFFA) Program at FSRF Program, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
