P48.8 MILYON PARA SA REHAB CENTER SA CAVITE

NAGLABAS ng P48.8 milyon ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) upang makumpleto na ang construction works ng Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (DATRC) sa Trece Martires, Cavite.

Gayunman, sinabi ni DBM Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman na noong Hulyo 7 nila inilabas ang salapi at idinaan sa Department of Health (DOH).

Ang pagri-release ng budget ay upang matupad ang mga prayoridad ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na matulungang ma-rehab ang mga umabuso sa droga.

“Among the priorities of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is to not just fully enforce the law when it comes to illegal drug use and abuse but also on rehabilitation of victims or drug users,” anang kalihim.

Ang nasabing pondo ay kukuhanin sa Grant Proceeds mula sa Japan International Cooperation Agency – Program for Consolidated Rehabilitation of Illegal Drug Users (JICA – CARE), Automatic Appropriations sa ilalim ng FY 2023 ng General Appropriations Act (GAA).

“The government will see to it that the upkeep of the country’s existing facilities on drug abuse treatment and rehabilitation will continue by allotting necessary budget for that purpose,,” dagdag ng kalihim.
