UPANG suportahan ang healthcare workers gayundin ang kanilang organisasyon, nanawagan ang Globe sa kanilang loyal customers na samahan sila sa paglaban sa COVID-19 pandemic sa pamamagitan ng pagdo-donate ng kanilang Globe Rewards points sa PGH Medical Foundation, Inc.
Kasabay nito, pinalawak din ng telco giant ang validity ng Globe Rewards points nana-earn noong 2019 mula March 31 hanggang June 30, 2020 upang magamit ng kanilang customers ito at laging connected o kaya naman ay i-donate ang kanilang points sa foundation habang nasa ini-enjoy ang #SafeAtHome mode.
Ang donated points ay gagamigtin para makagbigay ng test kits, alcohol, at complete sets ng personal protective equipment (PPEs) sa mga healthcare frontliners gaya ng surgical masks, face shields, at surgical gowns.
Una nang nakapag-pledge ang Globe Rewardsng P5M bilang cash donation to para mapalakas ang supplies and support ng healthcare front-liners ng PGH.
“The circumstances that we face today require the solidarity and cooperation of everyone more than ever,” ayon kay Ernest Cu, President and CEO at Globe.
“By giving our customers the opportunity to donate their Rewards points to a greater cause, we wish to reiterate the importance of standing and working together, despite the challenges of social distancing and limitation of resources,” dagdag pa ni Cu.
Noong Marso 5, nag-donate ang Globe ng P5M halagga ng surgical masks sa Philippine Red Cross.
Nagbigay din ito ng free unli internet connection sa pamamagitan ng GoWiFi services simula noong Marsoi 13 sa 68 public and private hospitals sa buong bansa.
Hininmok naman ang mobile at broadband customers na maging updated sa iyu ng COVID-19 sa pamamagitan sa pagsilip sa official sites ng DOH, NDRRMC at PIA na free of data charges.
