P66 MILLION AYUDA NG US KONTRA COVID-19

US

NAGKALOOB ang  U.S. government ng karagdagang P66 million o $1.3 million para labanan ang coronavirus contagion sa Filipinas kayat umaabot na sa P203 million ($4 million) ang kabuuang ayuda ng U.S. government sa bansa.

Ayon sa US Embassy sa Filipinas, nakipag-ugnayan ang pamahalaang Amerika sa pamamagitan ng  U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), sa Department of Health at iba pang  stakeholders para palakasin ang pagsisikap ng pamahalaaan na makontrol ang paglaganap ng  COVID-19 sa bansa.

“This U.S. government support to the Philippine Department of Health for its COVID-19 response demonstrates our longstanding commitment to our  Philippine friends, partners, and allies in times of need,” pahayag ni  U.S. Ambassador Sung Kim.

Sa pamamagitan ng nasabing dagdag  tulong pinansiyal  ay mapalalakas ng  USAID ang kanilang suporta sa laboratory systems ng Filipinas, paigtingin pa ang case-finding at event-based surveillance, palakasin pa ang sistema para maiwasan at makontrol ang  infections at maiwan ang peligrong dulot ng pagkahawa-hawa.

“This aid will enable the Philippines to expand its testing capacity so that more people who have COVID-19 will be able to access life-saving treatment. USAID’s assistance will also provide more Filipinos and health care providers access to the latest and most accurate information about COVID-19,” ani Sung Kim. VERLIN RUIZ
