Sinabi ni Sen. Grace Poe, kinakailangang pag-aralang mabuti ng Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) ang kanilang polisiya na nagre-require na magsuot ng face mask ang lahat ng pasahero kahit magkakasama pa sila sa iisang bahay
“I ask the IATF to rethink its policy requiring occupants of a vehicle to wear anti-virus masks even if they are from the same household.”
‘This order is simply ludicrous and unrealistic,” dagdag pa ni Poe.
Sa joint statement ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at ng Department of Health (DOH), kanilang nilinaw na maaari lamang mag-alis ng face mask ang driver ng isang sasakyan kung siya lamang mag-isa, pero kung may mga sakay na ito o kasama sa loob ng sasakyan, dapat lahat ay magsuot ng face mask.
Nakasaad pa sa statement na makikipag-ugnayan ang DOTr at DOH sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno tulad ng Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Inter-Agency Council for Traffic (IACT), Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG), at iba pa para sa proper implementation.
Iginiit ni Poe na ang sasakyan ay ekstensyon na ng bahay ng pamilya maliban na lamang kung may ibang tao sa sasakyan.
Ang pagsusuot ng face mask ay maaari lamang iobliga sa mga public transportation at car pooling subali’t hindi sa private vehicles na kung saan miyembro rin ng panilya ang magkakasama
