INILUNSAD ng Navotas City local government unit (LGU) ang house-to-house na pagbabakuna kontra sa COVID-19 upang mapaglingkuran ang mga Navoteñong may karamdaman na hindi makapunta sa vaccination sites.
Nasa 30 bedridden senior na mga residente ng Barangay Tangos North at South ang nakatanggap ng kanilang unang bakuna sa kanilang bahay.
“We extended the city government’s vaccination services to bedridden Navoteños, most of whom are senior citizens, to ensure they are protected against the deadly virus,” ani Mayor Toby Tiangco.
“Even if they always remain at home, COVID-19 infection and household transmission is still possible as long as their family members are doing transactions and activities outside. We put premium on the health of Navoteños and we are willing to go the extra mile to keep them safe and well,” dagdag nito.
Nagsimula na rin ang lungsod sa pagbabakuna sa mga residente na kabilang sa A5 category o indigent population kung saan nasa 160 mga miyembro ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) ang nakatanggap na ng kanilang unang dose ng Pfizer sa Tumana Health Center.
Umabot na sa 56,673 mga residente at nagtatrabaho sa lungsod ang nakatanggap na ng kanilang unang jabs habang 14,667 naman ang nakakumpleto na ng kanilang pangalawang doses ng bakuna. 1,052 dito ang frontliners, 5,322 ang senior citizens, 8,240 ang persons with comorbidities, at 53 ang essential workers.
