“This idea originated within the New Age and metaphysical circles, and as such, lacks scientific evidence and is considered pseudoscientific by the scientific community,” nakasaad pa rin sa nailathalang.pahayag ng PAGASA.
“DOST-PAGASA would like to inform the general public that the news circulating on the internet about the Earth experiencing three days of darkness due to its passage through Photon Belts on 08 April 2024, is a hoax….Astronomers have not observed any evidence of a band of high-energy photons surrounding the Milky Way galaxy. It is said that when the Earth passes through this belt, it triggers various transformative effects, both physical and spiritual. However, there is no scientific proof to support this theory,” ayon pa sa nailathalang pahayag kamakailan ng PAGASA.
“The totality of the solar eclipse will be visible in a narrow strip on the Pacific Ocean, passing 200 nm north of the Marquesas Islands and later in North America, beginning at the Pacific Coast, then ascending in a northeasterly direction through Mexico, the United States, and Canada, before ending in the Atlantic Ocean…..During a total eclipse, some areas in the mentioned places will experience temporary darkness caused by the moon passing in front of the sun”, ang sabi ng PAGASA.
“On April 8, 2024, the skies over North America will be graced with a total solar eclipse.A celestial event tha offers a rare glimpse into the sun’s enigmatic corona. During this time of totality.A total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk.Safety is the number one priority when viewing a total solar eclipse. Be sure you’re familiar with when you need to wear specialized eye protection designed for solar viewing by reviewing the proper safety guidelines,” ayon sa NASA Space.News.Agency.
“At all other times, it is safe to look directly at the Sun only through special purpose solar filters, such as “eclipse glasses,” that comply with the transmittance requirements of the ISO 12312-2 international standard. Ordinary sunglasses, even very dark ones, are not safe for looking at the Sun,” ang sabi ng NASA.
