PAGHAHAIN NG DIPLOMATIC PROTEST NG DFA SA COAST GUARD LAW NG CHINA OK SA SENADO

SUPORTADO ng Senado ang paghahain ng diplomatic protest ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)  laban sa bagong coast guard law ng China.

Ayon kay Sen. Risa Hontiveros,hindi lamang ang kabuhayan ng mga mangingisda ang dapat na maproteksyunan ngunit gayundin ang peace at stability ng buong rehiyon

Sinabi ng senadora na ang diplomatikong protesta ay isang hakbang para sa legal at soberenyang karapatan sa West Philjppine Sea (WPS).

“I commend Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin for finally taking action even after his initial hesitation, saying at first that the new law was “none of our business.” We need to continue asserting our triumph at the Hague, lest our inaction be construed as an abandonment of our claim under international law. We cannot sleep on our rights.” ani Hontiveros

“Our backpedaling must stop. Filipinos deserve strong leadership in the face of Chinese pressure, not apologists for a foreign power. We should not give an inch. We are in the right. The international community recognizes this and stands with us. ” dagdag pa niya

Para mamintina ang peace and stability ng rehiyon, nararapat lamang aniya na patuloy na depensahan ang bansa para sa katotohanan. LIZA SORIANO
