IPINAGPALAGAY na dahil mabibilang sa daliri ang naglalakbay na gumagamit ng fuel, nabanaagan ang Mount Everest mula sa isang village sa Kathmandu, Nepal.
Sa isang radio program interview Abhushan Gautam, isang communication expert sa Nepal at photographer ng nasabing trending na mga larawan, sinabi nitong nagulat rin ito nang sabihin sa kanya ng mga experts na kabilang sa kanyang nakuhanan ang Mount Everest.
“Back then, I was at home. I went upstairs to see the view and it was really clear. I’ve never seen such a fair weather like that before here in Kathmandu, because most of the time, it’s hazy because of the pollution. When I took it, by then, I didn’t know I would be able to see Everest. I just wanted to take a panoramic photo of Kathmandu. When I zoomed in, that’s when I realized it was actually Mount Everest. I wanted to confirm it, so I consulted it to experts. I consulted keen mountain experts, and they confirmed it.”
Ikinatuwa naman ito ng maraming residente at mga netizen dahil ayon sa mga eksperto, matapos ang ilang dekada ay muling nasilayan sa Kathmandu ang highest mountain on Earth dahil na rin sa pagbaba ng haze at nabawasan ang polusyon sa bansa, na epekto ng ipinapatupad na lockdown.
