NANGAKO si Presidente Rodrigo Duterte na magiging partially operational ang P68.2-billion Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT7) sa fourth quarter ng 2022.
Ginawa ni Duterte ang pahayag sa pagpapasinaya sa mga bagong MRT7 train sets sa isang programa na idinaos sa Commonwealth Avenue sa Diliman, Quezon City.
Ang MRT7 ay isang 24.7-kilometer railway na may 14 istasyon na magdurugtong sa San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan sa North Avenue sa Quezon City.
Sa oras na matapos ang proyekto, mababawasan ang travel time sa pagitan ng Quezon City at ng Bulacan na tatagal na lamang ng hanggang 35 minuto.
Inaasahan namang makapagsasakay ang naturang rail line ng halos 300,000 hanggang mahigit 800,000 pasahero araw-araw.
Ang MRT7 ay 62% nang kumpleto.
“We are committed to make it partially operational by the fourth quarter of 2022,” sabi ni Duterte.
“The MRT7 project will provide the public with a fast, efficient, convenient, safe and reliable transportation system that would result in the increased productivity of workers and businesses in Metro Manila and its nearby provinces.
“It is also good to know that this new train system will help minimize air pollution as it is a greener and more energy-efficient means of transportation. It will likewise contribute to a healthier and cleaner environment, thereby improving the livability of the nation’s capital,” dagdag pa ni Duterte.
