‘PANSAMANTAGAL’ NAG-FIRST DAY- LAST DAY SA MGA SINEHAN

HOW sad naman! Imagine, nag-first-day-last-day in most ci­nemas ang movie nina Bayani Agbayani, Gelli de Belen, at DJ Chacha na “Pansamantagal.”

According to reports, it was able to earn a measly PHP200K when it opened in cinemas all over the country inspite of its Grade B from the Cinema Evaluation Board.

Suffice to say, mas kumita pa ang “Papa Pogi” nina Teddy Corpuz, Donna Carriaga, at Myrtle Sarrosa na kumita ng kalahating milyon.

Anyway, dahil ito na ang pinakamalakas sa mga pelikulang nag-open last Wednesday, mukhang maraming sinehan ang maibibigay sa “Papa Pogi” ng Regal.

Nakatulong ang daily plugging nang noontime show ng ABS-CBN na It’s Showtime.

Sabi ng mga maha­dera, pansamantala lang daw talaga sa mga sinehan ang Bayani-Gelli movie.

GRETCHEN BARRETTO KINAMPIHAN SI KIER LEGASPI SA AWAY NITO SA KAPATID NA SI MARJORIE

KINAMPIHAN ni Gretchen Barretto ang aktor na si Kier Legaspi in connection with the statement of niece Dani Barretto na hindi raw sila in good terms ng kanyang ama at bukod-tanging ang kanyang ina na si Marjo­rie Barretto ang mag-isang nagpalaki sa kanya.

“To be honest,” Dani said in her Instagram account, “my dad and I never really had a solid relationship. All I know is he’s my dad, and that’s it.

“We had a brief relationship, which was, like, two months, and it was nice.

“I’m not gonna say naman na parang I didn’t love him and I’m not gonna say I don’t love him.

“I guess when you’re apart for so long and you already grew up and nasanay ka na wala na ‘yung tao sa life mo, you just feel, like, not naman that you don’t need the person… but it’s more like you’re okay without them.”

Nagprotesta si Gretchen sa sinabing ito ni Dani patungkol sa kanyang ama. Straightforward na pahayag ng outspoken actress sa kanyang Instagram Live last Thursday in the wee hours in the morning, “Kier Legaspi was not a wealthy father,” she asseverated. “Siguro kung may kasalanan si Kier kay Dani is ‘yung hindi siya mayaman.

“Hindi siya mayor ng Caloocan, ng ganu’n, ‘di ba, na wala siyang limpak-limpak na pera.

“’Yun lang ang kasalanan ni Kier.”

The “mayor ng Caloocan” that Gretchen alluded to was former Caloocan Mayor Recom Echeverri.

Matagal nang nali-link si Marjorie sa nasabing politician but up to now, mum is the word ang dalawa tungkol sa kanilang much talked about purported relationship.

Anyway, pagpapatuloy pa ni Gretchen, ‘yun lang daw ang kasalanan ni Kier kina Marjorie at Dani, ang pagiging mahirap nito.

“Kier Legaspi always tried to be a part of Dani’s life,” she said sounding truthful. “But the mom of Dani just did not allow it be-cause in the beginning… too much information.

“That’s it, I stop there.”

Gretchen further added, “You know, I love Dani, and uminit ang dibdib ko honestly as somebody who took care and I really, really wish that she could have a little gratitude in her heart.”

Sa Instagram Live pa rin the other day ni Gretchen with her younger sis Claudine Barretto, Gretchen’s relationship with her par-ents were asked by their friends.

Claudine’s answer was a simple, “Okay. Okay kami.”

Gretchen, on the other hand was honest enough to admit that all is not well with her and her parents.

Anyway, wayback in 2013, Gretchen said some snide words in connection with her mother: “To my abuser, my mother, know that I am a person, not a creature at your whim.

“You can use religion and cultural norms to deflect from the fact that you are abusive.

“But I stand before you, unafraid, ready and able to stop your abusive ways.

“You have succeeded in breaking me over and over again because I am your child and you know me well.

“But I know you as well, and I know that the truth terrifies you, and I hold the truth. Stop the abuse. Stop it now.”
