PBA VETERANS, AMATEURS SA SEA GAMES POOL

POSIBLENG katawanin ang Filipinas ng pinaghalong PBA veterans at amateur standouts sa basketball competition ng 30th Southeast Asian Games, ayon sa  Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP).

“The pool, I think, that was submitted, PBA players and some amateurs were also included in the list,” pahayag ni SBP President Al Panlilio.

Aniya, isinumite na nila ang pangalan ng 24 players sa Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc).

“I think the intention is it has to be developmental at the same time. So we’re hoping we can maybe have a combination. We have not decided,”  sabi pa ni Panlilio.

Ayon kay coach Ryan Gregorio, marami sa players na sumabak sa 2019 FIBA World Cup ay wala sa talaan.

“I think the assessment that time was ipapahinga naman sila,” paliwanag niya.

Subalit kasama, aniya, sa listahan sina Christian Standhardinger at Stanley Pringle. Sa amateurs ay naroon sina Thirdy Ravena at Isaac Go.

“I don’t know whether CJ Perez’s name was there and Bolick,” ani Panlilio patungkol sa dalawang rookie standouts ng Gilas. “They can also be part of that.”
