NAGPAHAYAG ng suporta ang Malacañang sa limang major international volleyball competitions na iho-host ng bansa sa second semester ng taon simula sa Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Women’s Challenge Cup na papalo sa Miyerkoles, Mayo 22, sa Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
Sa Memorandum Circular 49 na may petsang Mayo 13 at nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin,
“all government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby directed, and all local government units are encouraged, to extend full support to the Philippine hosting of volleyball and beach volleyball events in 2024.”
Bukod sa AVC Women’s Challenge Cup, gaganapin ang Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Men’s Week Three mula Hunyo 18 hanggang 23 sa SM Mall of Asia Arena, Volleyball World Challenger Cup mula Hulyo 4 hanggang 7 sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Southeast Asia Volleyball League for Men and Women mula Agosto 13 hanggang 25 sa City of Santa Rosa Sports Complex at ang Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Challenge sa Nobyembre 28- Disyembre 1 sa Nuvali Sand Courts by Ayala Land sa Santa Rosa.

Sampung bansa ang sasabak sa AVC Women’s Challenge Cup — Alas Pilipinas Women, Indonesia, Chinese-Taipei, Australia at Iran sa Pool A at defending champion Vietnam, India, Singapore, Hong Kong at Kazakhstan sa Pool B.
Ang pool rounds sa Miyerkoles ay tatampukan ng laro ng Singapore kontra Kazakhstan sa alas-10 ng umaga, Indonesia vs Iran sa ala-1 ng hapon, Vietnam vs Hong Kong sa alas-4 ng hapon, at Australia kontra Chinese Taipei sa alas-7 ng gabi.
Ang Alas Pilipinas Women na gagabayan ni Brazilian Jorge Edson Souza de Brito ay sasalang laban sa Australia sa Huwebes, alas-7 ng gabi.
Ang Alas Women ay binubuo nina Fifi Sharma, Vanie Gandler, Faith Nisperos, Dawn Macandili-Catindig, Jia Morado De Guzman, Eya Laure, Dell Palomata, Cherry Nunag, Jennifer Nierva, Sisi Rondina, Aly Solomon, Angel Canino, Bella Belen, Casiey Dongallo, Julia Coronel at Thea Gagate.
