Makati City. Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Vice Chairperson and General Manager Royina Marzan Garma represented by Mr. Archie San Juan Sopenasky of the Corporate Planning Department rushed to Barangay Comembo in Makati to deliver forty (40) food packs to the families who were victims of a fire incident that occurred last September 26, 2021. The distribution of the food packs was held at the 3rd floor of the Barangay Hall on Wednesday on September 29, 2021.
PCSO along with the convergence team composed of DSWD, OPAV, DTI, NHA, PAGCOR among others offered their own significant contributions to the fire victims assuring that swift action during crisis times will be handled by President Rodrigo R. Duterte especially in man-made and natural disasters.
56 year old mother of 3 children Lucy Castillo recalls the horrific tragedy that happened days ago, wherein she lost her home and personal possessions. “Nagpapasalamat po ako kay GM Garma at sa PCSO sa aming natanggap na tulong na sigurado naman naming magagamit ng agaran. Pati na rin po sa mga ahensya na dumalo at nag alay ng kanya-kanyang tulong sa aming mga biktima ng sunog.
Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat.”
Another local who also lost his home and other important personal belongings was Mr. Victor Reyes Jarlego, 57 years old with 3 children. He thanked PCSO in a short interview, “Napakalaking bagay na ang gobyerno natin ay handang tumulong sa mga nasusunugan tulad namin at lalo na ngayon na pandemyang panahon pa. Nagpapasalamat po ako sa PCSO at sa mga ibat ibang tulong namin natanggap sa mga Government Offices na sinadya kami dito sa pamamagitan ng aming Kapitan Richard Peralta. Salamat po muli PCSO at nagkaron kami ng agarang ayuda.”
