PARA linangin ang galing sa pakikipagdigma at inter-operability capability, sumasabak ngayon ang Philippine Marines at mga kinatawan ng US Marines sa ginaganap na taunang Marine Exercise 2022 Philippines (MAREX 2022 PH).
Pinangunahan mismong ni Philippine Marines Commandant MGen. Ariel Caculitan ang isinagawang opening ceremony na ginanap sa Marine Corps Force Development Center, Feliciano Hall, MBRB, Taguig City.
Pinasalamatan ni Caculitan ang exercise planners mula sa Philippine Marines at United States Marine Corps para sa nasabing joint military exercise.
Dumalo rin sa ginanap na virtual opening si 2nd Marine Brigade at Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi Commander BGen. Romeo Racadio at Col. Nestor Narag, Deputy Brigade Commander, 2MBde, at designated Commander ng Marine Ready Group (MRG) Tawi-Tawi kasama nito ang kanyang USMC counterpart na si Cpt. Benette Guillory.
Ang MAREX 22 PH ay isang combined PH-US Marine Force bilateral exercise na naka pokus sa capability development for Amphibious Operation lalo na sa Counter-Terrorism, Internal Security Operations, at Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Response (HADR) operations.
Objective ng nasabing joint marine exercises na palakasin pa ng dalawang bansa ang kanilang kahandaan sa pag responde sa krisis, makapagdevelop ng interoperability and standardize tactics, techniques and procedures through Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE) at joint mission planning.
Ang nasabing ehersisyo ay simultaneous na gagawin sa iba pang lugar gaya ng Western Command (WESCOM) sa Palawan, Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM) Joint Area of Operations (JAO) partikular sa areas of responsibility ng 2MBDe na siyang nakakasakop sa probinsiya ng Tawi-Tawi.
