Isn’t it amazing how a small tropical country such as ours boasts of more than ten thousand flora species? More amazing than this is the fact that almost fifty percent of these species are endemic being found only in the Philippines. Sadly though, more and more species become endangered because of habitat loss and human activity. But hope is not lost. These beautiful creations will strive to grow and thrive. Let us do our part to help conserve and protect them.
“SIBOL”, the second group art exhibition of the Philippine Botanical Art Society brings closer to you almost a hundred paintings of Philippine indigenous and endemic flora species. Fifty-eight PhilBAS artists come together to create awareness about these flora species through their botanical artworks.
Join PhilBAS as it calls for the conservation and protection of our flora through “SIBOL”, exhibit. It runs until February 29, 2020 at 9:30 am at the Mother Mary Joseph Foyer and SMT Lobby, Miriam College Katipunan, Quezon City.
