PATULOY ang pagbagsak ng Philippine manufacturing output nang Nobyembre 2019, na nagtanda ng ika-12th magkasunod ng buwan ng pagbaba, ayon sa ipinakitang datos ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) kamakailan.
Ang naunang resulta ng Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) ay nagpakita ng factory output o ng Volume of Production Index (VoPI) na bumaba ng 6.1% laban sa 1.9% paglago ng parehong buwan ng 2018.
“The decline in VoPI was mainly influenced by the decreases in the indices of eight major industry groups,” lahad ng PSA sa isang kalakip na pahayag.
Ang pagbagsak ay nasa record ng furniture and fixtures (-41.2%), basic metals (-29.5%), miscellaneous manufactures (-22.1%), produktong petrolyo (-21.8%), transport equipment (-16.7%) at electrical machinery (-13.0%).
Nakarehistro rin ang pagbaba sa non-metallic mineral products (-2.6%) at textiles (-1.6%).
Kaparehas nito, ang Value of Production Index (VaPI) ay nakita ang annual drop na 5.8%, a contraction from the 2.3% growth noong Nobyembre 2018.
“Among the nine major industry groups that reported decreases in VaPI, five major industry groups had two-digit decreases,” sabi ng PSA.
Ang mga ito ay basic metals (-36.2%), petroleum products (-25.6%), miscellaneous manufactures (-20.7%), transport equipment (-20.6%) at electrical machinery (-16.6%).
