IPINASISIYASAT ng Makabayan Bloc sa Kamara ang patuloy na pagtangkilik ng pamahalaan sa mga imported na personal protective equipment (PPE) sa halip na lokal na gawa sa bansa.

Sa House Resolution 1735 na inihain ng mga kongresista sa Makabayan, inaatasan ang House Committee on Trade and Industry na siyasatin “in aid of legislation” ang patuloy na pagtangkilik ng gobyerno sa mga imported na PPE na karaniwang galing sa China.

Tinukoy sa panukala na iniulat ng Confederation of Wearable Exporters of the Philippines (CONWEP) na sa 120,000 workers sa local garment industry ay aabot sa 25,400 ang tinanggal sa trabaho.

Sa naturang bilang, 3,500 empleyado ay mula sa tatlong kompanya na ini-repurpose para sa local production ng mga PPE.

Batay pa sa CONWEP, ipinatawag sila ng pamahalaan noong nakaraang taon upang punan ang pangangailangan ng bansa sa medical grade na PPE kung saan agad silang bumuo ng Coalition of Philippine Manufacturers of PPE (CPMP) at namuhunan para sa paggawa ng mga PPE na aabot sa P1.7 billion.

Magkagayunman, sa kabila ng paghikayat ng pamahalaan sa local production ng mga PPE ay patuloy pa rin ang gobyerno sa pagbili ng mga imported na PPE na nagiging sanhi ng pagkalugi nang husto ng mga local manufacturer.

Nababahala ang lokal na industriya dahil hindi nila magawang makipagsabayan sa mga naglipana ngayong foreign PPE na ibinebenta sa murang halaga at ang iba ay substandard pa.

Dahil dito, umaapela ang mga progresibong mambabatas ng Makabayan na silipin ng Kamara ang epekto sa local industry ng preference ng pamahalaan sa mga imported na PPE sa gitna pa rin ng nararanasang COVID-19 pandemic.  CONDE BATAC

    Das Projekt befinde sich aber noch ganz am Anfang. Als unmittelbare Lösung der Probleme, die sich durch ein mögliches
    Verbot der Pigmente ergeben würden, seien die eigenen Farben ohnehin nicht gedacht, sagt er.
    Das liegt auch daran, dass der Laden im Herzen Hamburgs laut Knebelkamp zunächst das einzige Tattoostudio sein soll, das die Edding-Farben benutzt.
