PATULOY na palalakasin ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) at ng Japan Volleyball Association (JVA) ang kanilang partnership upang maiangat ang sport sa kontinente.
Pinangunahan ni Japan Minister at Consul General Takahiro Hanada ang turnover ng volleyball supplies mula sa JVA noong Huwebes sa bagong tanggapan ng PNVF sa Bonifacio Prime sa Taguig City at nagpahayag ng pasasalamat si Asian Volleyball Confederation president at FIVB executive vice president Ramon “Tats” Suzara, na siya ring PNVF chief, sa malaking tulong sa Pilipinas, siyam na buwan bago ang hosting nito sa FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championships.
“With the sport seeing record-breaking attendances and emerging talents, I believe our cooperation comes at an exciting time for volleyball’s culture,” wika ni Hanada.
“We eagerly take this opportunity to support the Philippines’ emerging volleyball scene… We are proud to have this equipment in the hands of young and eager Filipinos,” dagdag ni Hanada. “It is my hope that these volleyballs play a vital part in fueling the dreams and connections of the Philippines’ youth.”
Nagpapasalamat si Suzara dahil nakatatanggap ang PNVF ng malaking tulong sa pagsisikap nito na makatuklas ng talento at kasabay nito ay mapalawak ang viewership ng sport.
“The Philippines is a volleyball country,” ani Suzara. “That’s our main slogan now.”
“These equipment will fuel the enthusiasm of young players in the provinces… These balls will reach many young players in Mindanao, Visayas and Luzon,” sabi ni Suzara habang pinasalamatan si Hanada at ang JVA sa kanilang patuloy na suporta.
“We appreciate Japan’s continuing support of Asian volleyball and we hope to continue this relationship with Japan not only in terms of equipment but also coaching, national team training camps and even management.”
Ipinagkaloob ni Hanada ang competition volleyballs sa turnover ceremony kay Suzara at kina Alas Pilipinas women’s at men’s team members Thea Gagate, Dawn Catindig, Vince Lorenzo at EJ Casaña.
“Through our program ‘Sport for Tomorrow,’ Japan realizes and harnesses the power of sports as a force for global prosperity and harmony,” aniya.
Ang Sport for Tomorrow ay isang international exchange at cooperation program sa sports base sa commitment ng Japanese government.
Ipinakita rin ni Suzara sa Japanese consul general ang bagong PNVF Office na gagawin ding headquarters ng 2025 Men’s Volleyball World Championship at bukod dito ay kinalalagyan ng AVC president’s office.
