INATASAN na ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang kanyang intelligence group at iba pang tauhan para tiktikan ang pondo sa kampanya ng mga politiko.
Ayon kay PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, dapat ay malalim na imbestigasyon ang gawin upang matukoy kung may koneksyon ang politiko sa mga kidnapper at holdaper para makalikom ng pondo.
“I have ordered the PNP’s intelligence group and other police units to conduct background checks on criminals especially those involved in theft in businesses, whether detained or still on the police wanted list,” ayon sa heneral.
Aniya, hindi maaaring balewalain ang maling fundraising ng corrupt politicians ngayong nalalapit na ang 2022 polls.
“This is to make sure they cannot perform their illegal acts. We cannot ignore that they might be likely used for fundraising of corrupt politicians in the elections,” ayon pa kay Eleazar.
