NANAWAGAN na si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kanyang partido sa Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) na manatiling nagkakaisa at isantabi ang pansariling interes at magpokus na lang sa mga gawain na pakikinabangan ng Filipino sa gitna ng coronavirus pandemic.

Ang recorded message ng Pangulong Duterte ay narinig sa PDP-Laban National Council Assembly na isinagawa kahapon sa Cebu.

Ginanap ang national assembly na ipinatawag ni party vice chair, Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, kasunod ng go signal ni Pangulong Duterte kahit pa tinututulan ni Senator Manny Pacquiao na siyang acting president ng partido.

“Over the years the PDP-Laban has revolutionized our country’s political landscape by pursuing genuine reforms and good governance in both the national and local levels. I, thus, urge all of my partymates for staying true to the party’s mission which has always been to prioritize the welfare of our people,”ayon sa Pangulo.

Nanawagan din ang Punong Ehekutibo sa kaniyang kapartido na ipagpatuloy ang paglaban sa COVID-19 pandemic sa pamamagitan ng pagpapatuloy sa pagkilos para tulungan ang sambayanang Filipino gayundin na mapanatili ang good governance upang makamtan ang inaasam na kapayapaan at pag-unlad ng bansa.

“Again, I call to all of my partymates to stand together and remain united not by personal interest but by our principles and values as we chart the future of our party and the rest of the nation,” panawagan pa ng Pangulo.

Mariing iginigiit ng kampo ni Pacquiao na tanging ang Pangulong Duterte lamang bilang presidente ng partido katuwang ang senador ang maaaring magpatawag ng PDP-Laban national assembly.

Ang boxing champion na semador ay napapabalitang tatakbo bioang pangulo ng bansa sa darating na 2022 elections na posibleng makatunggali ang presidential daughter na si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte- Carpio na siyang lider ng isa pang regional political party. EVELYN QUIROZ
