PSC, DPWH LUMAGDA SA KASUNDUAN PARA SA PHILSPORTS, RMSC INFRA UPGRADE

PINORMALISA ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang partnership nito sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) na naglalayong magkaloob ng dekalidad na imprastruktura para sa kapakanan ng national athletes.

Ang dalawang partido ay lumagda sa magkahiwalay na kasunduan para sa pag-upgrade ng mga pasilidad sa PhilSports Complex sa Pasig City at sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC) sa Manila, sa pangunguna nina PSC Chairman Richard Bachmann, Executive Director Paulo Francisco Tatad, at Accounting Division Chief Atty. Erik Jean Mayores sa Conference Room ng RMSC.

Tinitiyak nito ang pag-upgrade sa dormitory facilities sa PhilSports Complex kung saan nagsasanay ang ilang national athletes, at nagsisilbing counterpart para sa seven-storey athletes’ dormitory ng RMSC na isinagawa ang groundbreaking noong nakaraang September.

“We always want to give what is best when it comes to the primary needs of the athletes. This is one of the significant steps to ensure that they remain safe and at peace, day in or day out of their training sessions on a long-term basis,” wika ni Chairman Bachmann.

Sa RMSC ay kasalukuyang isinasagawa ang pagsasaayos sa Baseball Stadium na nakatakdang i-upgrade alinsunod sa international standards. Kabibilangan ito ng covered roofing at improved grandstand o spectators’ area, na magkakaloob ng outstanding atmosphere para sa mga audience, isang high-resolution LED scoreboard, at protective netting at stainless-steel railings na may salamin.

Ang iba pang soon-to-rise facilities ay ang 12-storey multi-purpose facility sa tabi ng Ninoy Aquino Stadium, tampok ang isang modernized bowling facility, ang re-development ng Philippine Sports Museum, at ang rehabilitasyon ng Administrative Building ng sports agency.

Ang DPWH – NCR at Metro Manila First District ay kinatawan nina Regional Director Engr. Loreta M. Malaluan at District Engineer Aristotle B. Ramos para sa Philsports Complex’ jurisdiction.
Samantala, ang DPWH – South Manila District Engineering Office ay kinatawan nina OIC Engr. Manny B. Bulasan at OIC Asst. District Engineer Brian B. Briones para sa RMSC facilities.
