NASA ikalawa sa huling season na, itatampok sa online National Sports Summit 202 ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang mahalagang papel na gagampanan ng Philippine Sports Institute (PSI), sa Miyerkoles, August 4.
Si PSC-PSI Grassroots Program Head Abigail Marie Rivera ang magiging resource person para sa two-hour program na inaasahang dadaluhan ng mahigit sa 500 participants mula sa iba’t ibang local government units (LGUs), National Sports Associations (NSAs), sports educators, stakeholders, at iba pang private entities sa buong bansa.
Ang PSI ay binuhay at opisyal na muling inilunsad noong 2017 ni PSC Chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez.
“This is a great opportunity for us to present the role of the PSI to our participants since most of them are our partners in grassroots development,” wika ni PSI National Training Director at NSS Project Director Marc Edward Velasco.
Ang PSI ang kamay ng sports agency upang maabot ang regional training centers. Ito rin ang groundwork ng ahensiya para sa grassroots program nito upang makatuklas ng bagong talento sa mga probinsya na magiging miyembro ng Philippine team at world-class elite athletes sa hinaharap.
