PUBLIKO BINALAAN SA ONLINE ILLEGAL RECRUITMENT SCAMS

NAGBABALA ang Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) sa publiko, partikular sa mga magiging overseas Filipino worker, laban sa online illegal recruitment schemes na nangangako ng deployment o work interview matapos ang lockdown.

Sa Advisory No. 62, pinag-iingat ng POEA ang publiko laban sa mga mapagsamantalang indibidwal na nagpapanggap na mga opisyal at staff ng mga licensed recruitment agency para mahikayat ang mga naghahanap ng trabaho na mag-apply.

“The public is warned of promises of online scammers for job interview and deployment after the lockdown or after lifting of the quarantine, “PM (private message) if interested”, “click link for more details”. The advertisements ask for reservation fees and/or personal information from unsuspecting applicants,” ayon sa POEA.

Idinagdag pa ng POEA na kabilang sa mga ilegal na gawain ang paggamit ng pekeng emails at websites, at pekeng job advertisements sa social media sites gaya ng Facebook.

“POEA warns the public to ignore these online advertisements and not to give or deposit money, especially through remittance centers such as Western Union, Cebuana Lhuillier, or Palawan Express, or money transfers thru GCash, 7/11, or PayPal. Further, please be warned about providing sensitive personal information, such as full names, birthdates, addresses, etc. as these may be used in criminal activities,” anang POEA.

Nanawagan ang ahensiya sa publiko na agad i-report ang anumang kahina-hinala o ilegal na gawain na may kinalaman sa online recruitment scams sa Anti-Illegal Recruitment Branch Operations and Surveillance Division sa email [email protected] o tumawag sa 0919-067-4206. (PNA)
