IBINUNYAG kahapon ni Senador Richard Gordon na umabot sa $447 milyon o P22.69 bilyon ang pumasok na ‘dirty money’ sa Filipinas sa loob lamang ng limang buwan.

Sa kanyang privilege speech, isiniwalat ni Gordon na ang nasabing ha­laga ay ipinasok sa bansa ng may 47 indibiduwal, kabilang ang ilang Pinoy mula Set­yembre 2019 hanggang Pebrero 2020.

“A total of USD 447 million or P22.69 billion was brought in by 47 individuals (including Filipinos) from September 2019 to February 2020,” ani Gordon.

Gayundin, sinabi ni Gordon na sa nasabing halaga ay nakapagpasok ang ilang Chinese nationals ng mahigit sa $210 mil­yon o P10.6 bilyon.

“The total amount brought in by the Chinese individual was $210 million or P10.6-B (46.98% of the total amount),” dagdag pa ng senador.

Ani Gordon, chairman ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, sapat na ang nasabing halaga para makabayad sa utang ang Filipinas sa ibang bansa, na sa  kasalukuyan ay umaabot sa $82.67 bil­yon.

Aniya, ang mga bansang pinagkakauta­ngan ng Filipinas na mababa sa $500 milyon ay ang Australia (USD 596 million), Canada (USD 479 million), British Virgin Island (USD 205 million) at Luxembourg (USD 133 million).

“With the USD 500 million, PHL can pay its total debt to three countries,” giit ni Gordon.

Ibinunyag din ni Gordon na ang dirty money na dinala ng mga Chinese kasabwat ang ilang Filipino ay nagmula sa Hong Kong, Singapore at Thailand.

Sinasabing ang pera ay idinedeklara bilang foreign exchange, investment, casino businesses  at travel.

Kinilala rin ni Gordon ang ilang Chinese na nag-transact ng pera sa bansa na sina Kai Lung Choi ($9.8 million, 4 transactions), Kei Him Chan ($21 million, 7 transactions), Sheung neng Rony Hui ($24 million, 7 transactions), Wai Yip Leung (P17.8 million, 5 transactions), Chung Shing Wong ($26.6 million, 8 transactions), Ka Hei Lee ($8.9 million, 3 transactions), Siu Piu Lam ($11 million, 3 transactions), San Man Kong ($31 million, 4 transactions),  To Yim Leung ($6.5 million, 2 transactions), Wai Fe Leung ($9.5 million, 3 transactions) at Yan Wa Tsoi ($12.5 million, 4 transactions).
