LUMAGO ang ekonomiya ng Filipinas ng 6.3 percent sa fourth quarter ng 2018, sa halip na 6.1 percent na naunang ina-nunsiyo, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
“Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate for the fourth quarter of 2018 was revised upward from 6.1 percent to 6.3 per-cent,” wika ng PSA.
Ayon sa PSA, ang major contributors sa upward revision ay ang trade at repair ng motor vehicles, motorcycles, personal at household goods; public administration and defense; at compulsory social security.
Alinsunod sa international standard practices sa national accounts, binabago ng PSA ang quarterly GDP numbers sa regular ba-sis.
“Although revisions were noted in the quarterly growth, the annual growth rate of GDP for 2018 was maintained at 6.2 per-cent,” anang ahensiya.
Gayundin, ang annual GDP growth rates para sa 2016 at 2017 ay nanatili sa 6.9 percent at 6.7 percent, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
Itinaas din ng PSA ang gross national income—ang total output ng Filipino residents—sa 5.8 percent hanggang 6.0 percent- mula sa 5.2 percent hanggang 5.7 percent.
Ang revision ng PSA ay inihayag, isang buwan bago ang pag-anunsiyo sa first quarter 2019 GDP print sa Mayo 9.
