QCPD HANDA NA SA PAGBIBIGAY NG SEGURIDAD SA MAY 13 POLLS

CAMP KARINGAL – SINIGURO ng ­Quezon City Police District (QCPD) sa ilalim ni Director, Police Brigadier General Joselito Esqui­vel Jr. na ang seguridad,  kaayusan at ang kaligtasan para sa darating na  2019 midterm elections sa Quezon City ay nakahanda na habang kabuuang 2,123 personnel ang ide-deploy sa nasabing political event.

Ayon pa kay Esqui­vel  ang QCPD ay pinapatupad ang comprehensive security coverage sa tulong ng partnership ng  Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at ibang concerned government agencies.

Mula nang magsi­mula ang election period, ang QCPD ay nagsasawa na ng pakikipag-ugnayan sa  COMELEC, AFP at iba pang concerned agencies na siyang tutulong para sa paghahanda sa  seguridad ng ating mga kababayan. Kabilang dito ang QCPD na nagsagawa ng unity walk, inter-faith rally at  peace covenant signing kasama ang mga kakandidato  para sa election.

Sa kabila nito, ang Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) ay pa­tuloy at regular na isinasagawa ng mga  tauhan ng QCPD kabilang ang 12 police stations na  nakapagsagawa ng (4) district-wide weeklong SACLEO mula ng magsimula ang election peruod.

“The District Election Monitoring Action Center (DEMAC) situated at the District Tactical Operations Center (DTOC) that will supervise and monitor all the activities of Task Groups and monitor also any eventualities relative to the conduct of the elections was already activated on May 7, 2019,” ayon kay Esquivel.

“Police Assistance Desks (PADs) on different polling precincts will be established during the election day to provide police assistance. There were also personnel deployed to secure the Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) during its transfer from the National Printing Office to Quezon City Treasurer’s Office and to all polling precincts during the election day.”

“Since April 23, 2019 the QCPD also conductedOperation Baklas against illegal election campaign materials/posters in coordination with the COMELEC.”

“The public is also reminded to refrain from doing prohibited acts like vote buying and selling activities; accepting free transportation, food or drinks and other related acts in favor of a candidate during election day. Drinking and selling of intoxicating liquor from midnight of May 12 to midnight of May 13, 2019 is also strictly prohibited.”

Ayon pa kay PBGEN Esquivel Jr, “Ang kapulisan ng QCPD ay nakahanda para siguruhin ang seguridad ng bawat mamamayan sa kanilang paglahok sa 2019 midterm elections. Hinihingi namin ang suporta ng bawat isa at huwag nang subukang gawin ang mga ipinagbabawal para masiguro natin ang tunay na mapayapa, ligtas at maayos na eleksiyon, na walang ibang makikinabang kundi ang mga mamamayan.” PAULA ANTOLIN
