DAVAO CITY- INIHAYAG ng Davao Regional Trial Court na nag-isyu sila ng warrant of arrest laban kay Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy sa kaso umano nitong sexual abuse.
Kasabay nito, ipinag-utos din ang pag-aresto kina Jackiely W. Roy, Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid C. Canada, at Sylvia Camanes.
Si Quiboloy at iba pa ay sinampahan ng kaso sa paglabag sa Republic Act 7610 o Anti-Child Abuse Law, partikular na ang probisyon sa sexual abuse ng mga menor de edad at pangmamaltrato.
Orihinal na naglabas ang Davao RTC ng arrest warrant noong Marso 14, ngunit sinuspinde ang implementasyon nito makaraang sabihan ito ng kampo ni Quiboloy na naghain sila ng motion for reconsideration sa Department of Justice (DOJ).
Ngayon, sinabi ng korte na, “more than reasonable time has lapsed,” hindi ito nakatanggap ng anumang resolusyon sa motion for reconsideration.
“Having received none as of this date, the Court declines this time to await. As what was earlier determined upon judicious examination and perusal of information where it found probable cause, let the warrants of arrest already issued be implemented immediately,” saad sa kautusan ng korte.
“The Court, mindful of the equally situated rights of both the prosecution and defense, which may include among others, the speedy disposition and speedy trial cases, either of which or both, said right imposes an imperative task that this Court is indebted to fulfill,” dagdag pa Davao RTC.
