TARGET ng Department of Education (DepEd) na dagdagan ang gamit ng TV at radio-based materials para masuportahan ang implementasyon ng blended learning para sa School Year 2021-2022.

“Hindi natin maikakailang hindi mawawala ang mahalagang papel na ginagampanan ng TV at radio sa bansa sa paghatid ng edukasyon sapagkat hindi lahat ay may access sa internet. Kailangang accessible sa lahat ng mga mag-aaral ang mga learning opportunities,” ani Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones.

Kahit available ang Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) sa mga iskwelahan at field offices, binigyang diin ng DepEd na ang nasabing mga mo­dules ay converted din sa DepEd TV episodes at radio-based lessons para sa flexibility of the modality.

Ayon kay Undersecretary at Chief of Staff Nepomuceno Malaluan, layon ng Departmentong epektibong ma-integrate ang TV at radio-based materials sa instructional plans para sa susunod na school year.

“Iba na ang susunod na school year dahil magagawa na namin ang aming naunang plano at tapos na rin ang aming adjustments sa sitwasyo,” ani Malaluan.

Aniya, maayos na ang kanilang instructional programming kaya hindi na gaanong mahihiraan ang mga teachers.

Dagdag pa niya, ang nasabing mga radio and TV episodes ay digitally available at mayroon silang database na naka-index by Grade Level, Quarter, Episode Title, Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) Mapping, at CG Code.

Matatandaang pinuri ni Senator Sherwin Gatchalian ang DepEd sa pagkakaroon ng high-quality educational materials tulad ng DepEd TV at DepEd radio. Umaasa si Gatcha­lian na mas dadami ang gagamit sa nasabing mga platforms.

“I’ve seen the TV programming, and it’s very nice. It’s high quality. It’s not low production, and the teachers there perform quite superbly in delivering. In fact, they have managed to demonstrate not only their teaching capabilities but their acting capabilities. I like it. It’s produced quite well,” ani Gatchalian.

Ipinalalabas na nga­yon ang kumpletong episodes ng DepEd TV sa mga TV tulad ng IBC 13, GMA7, Cignal, GSat, Grace TV, Solar, Planet Cable, Pacific Kabelnet, Mabuhay Pilipinas TV, at PCTA members, at ipinalalabas rin simultaneously sa mga radio counterparts ngnasabing mga istasyon.

Sa katatapos na school year, Nakagawa ang DepEd TV ng 1107 first quarter at 320 second quarter video lessons nan aka-align sa Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs). – JAYZL VILLAFANIA NEBRE
