NAPILI ng PBA ang Rain or Shine na maging kinatawan ng bansa sa 2023 William Jones Cup na gaganapin sa August 12-20 sa Taipei, Taiwan.
Ayon kay PBA commissioner Willie Marcial, aprubado na ng board ng liga na pinamumunuan ni chairman Ricky Vargas ang paglahok ng Elasto Painters sa Jones Cup, na magbabalik matapos ang three-year absence dahil sa pandemya.
“We are honored not just to represent the PBA, but also the country in the Jones Cup. The high level competition will also help us to better prepare for the upcoming PBA season. We will give it our best shot and hope to bring honor to the country,” pahayag ni ROS board governor at team manager Atty. Mert Mondragon. Ang Rain or Shine ay palalakasin ni naturalized Filipino big man Ange Kouame.
Sa Jones Cup ay ibinigay ng Mighty Sports ang huling dalawang korona ng bansa, una noong 2016 at ikalawa noong 2019 nang walisin ng Charles Tiu-mentored squad ang torneo na may perfect 8-0 record.
