REHAB NG MARAWI ROADS SINIMULAN NA NG DPWH

MARAWI ROADS

SABAY-SABAY na sinimulan ng tatlong grupo ng mga contractor ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) noong Biyernes ang rehabilitasyon ng 18.97 kilometers ng mga kalsada sa Marawi City sa pamamagitan ng pondo mula sa Official Development Assistance (ODA) ng pamahalaan ng Japan.

“It’s all systems go for the rehabilitation of Marawi roads with essential heavy equipment working on multi-site preparatory works,” wika ni DPWH Undersecretary for Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations and Technical Services Emil K. Sadain sa aktuwal na pagsisimula ng civil work activities.

Bukod kay Sadain, dumalo rin sa event sina Marawi Mayor Majul Usman Gandamra, Lanao del Sur Vice Governor Mujam Raki-in Adiong, Task Force Bangon Marawi Assistant Secretary Frederick Castro at John Dominic Pulido ng tanggapan ni Secretary Mark A. Villar.

Sa kanyang report kay Villar, sinabi ni Sadain na tatlong contract packages ng civil works activities para sa stage 1 construction ng Transcentral Roads ang umuusad na. Ang mga ito ay ang CP-1A na may dalawang road sections na may kabuuang haba na  9.41 kms. at iginawad sa Unimasters Conglomeration, Inc./M.M.A. Achie­ver Const. & Dev’t Corp./CDH Construction/Flying Seven Construction (JV) na kinatawan ni Farrah Mangondato; CP-1B na may limang  road sections na may kabuuang haba na 5.45 kms. at nasa ilalim ng kontrata ng Al Hussein Const. / N.B. Sabo Const. (JV) na kinatawan ni Cocoy Dalidig; at CP-2 na may dalawang road sections na may kabuuang haba na 4.11 kms. sa ilalim nina  contractor Odin at Lani Kouzbary ng Kouzbary Builders.

“Contract package 1A involves the 9.41-kilo­meter Bacong-Iligan-Marawi Road, while contract Package 1-B covers the construction of Bacong-Poona-Marantao-Marawi Road (including drainage), GMA Terminal Access, Marawi-Cadre-New Capitol, Marcos Boulevard, and Idarus Road Section, and Contract Package 2 covers the MSU – GMA Road and Lumidong – Amai Pakpak Avenue,” ayon sa DPWH.

“The contract for road paving with 280 millimeters thick two lanes portland concrete cement is estimated for CP-1A to take about two months in detailed design preparation and 21 months of construction while CP-1B and CP-2 both have 14 months contract duration with two months intended for detailed design and 12 months civil works.”

Ang stage 1 rehabilitation ng Marawi Transcentral Roads na nagkakahalaga ng P970 million ay opisyal na inilunsad sa pamamagitan ng ceremonial groundbreaking sa first quarter ng 2019 ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte na kinatawan nina Villar at Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers Concern and Muslim Affairs Secretary Abdullah Mama-o.

Dumalo rin sina Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koji Haneda at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Chief Representative Yoshio Wada sa naturang event.  PNA
