RUSSIAN TRADE DELEGATION NAGHAHANAP NG BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES SA PINAS

Negosyo

Ang Russian Trade Delegation ay pinangunahan ni  Aleksey V. Meshkov, Deputy Director for the Department of Asia, Africa, and Latin America ng Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Isang partikular na interest, sinabi ni Meshkov na ang delegasyon ay naghahanap ng posibleng kolaborasyon sa mga industriya na nasa air traffic control systems, ICT para sa defense and aviation, shipbuilding, railways, satellite navigation systems, energy efficiency technologies, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, vehicle manufacturing (trucks and helicopters), electronics, construction and engineering, at natural gas.

“The Philippine economy has sustained its growth momentum with our gross domestic product (GDP) averaging over 6 percent for eight successive years. Despite the global economic slowdown, the Philippines recorded a 5.5% GDP growth in the first half of 2019 and still among the fastest growing economies in the Asian region. In the long-term, our growth trajectory aims for a 7 to 8 percent yearly growth, buoyed by a robust domestic demand, upward exports and strong growth in industry and services,” pahayag ni DTI Assistant Secretary Angelo Taningco sa pagbibigay niya ng rundown business climate and opportunities sa bansa.

“The Philippines and Russia continue to strengthen their economic ties. With the recent Philippines-Russia Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation (JCTEC) meeting, we expect growth in our exports to Russia with Russia’s accreditation of Philippine tuna companies.

“Both sides have also committed to continue working towards accreditation of other export interests, particularly on agriculture products as well as explore cooperation in transport and infrastructure, energy and the creative arts, among others. We continue to diversify our markets to mitigate the impacts of global trade tensions and sustain the country’s economic growth,” sabi naman ni BOI Executive Director Ma.
