BINIGYAN ng dagdag na pondo ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang COVID-19 booster shots sa ilalim ng 2022 General Appropriations Bill.

Ito ay kaugnay na rin sa pagtatapos ng consolidation ng institutional amendments ng panukalang pambansang badyet  sa susunod na taon.

Sa amendments ay ibinalik ang malaking bahagi ng kinaltas na pondo ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa original budget proposal ng Department of Health (DOH) sa 2022.

Kabilang sa amyenda ang dagdag na P20 billion na pambili ng COVID-19 vaccine booster shots.

Ito ay bukod pa sa naunang P45 billion na unprogrammed fund na inilaan para sa boosters shots.

Mayroon ding dagdag na P5 billion para sa Medical Assistance to Indigent Patients (MAIP) program at P4.5 billion na Special Risk Allowance para sa mga kwalipikadong public at private health care workers.

Aabot sa P242 billion ang panukalang pondo ng DOH sa susunod na taon.

Target naman ni Appropriations Committee Chairman Eric Yap na mai-transmit sa Senado ang pinal na bersiyon ng House Bill 10153 o 2022 GAB sa October 27.  CONDE BATAC
