HINDI hihiramin ang PBA players para maglaro para sa Gilas Pilipinas sa pagsabak nito sa FIBA Asia Cup 2021 qualifiers at FIBA Olympic qualifying tournament (OQT) sa Hunyo.
Inanunsiyo ni PBA chairman Ricky Vargas na sa halip ay magpapadala ang Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) ng koponan na binubuo ng cadets, kabilang ang mga player na kukunin ng federation sa Rookie Draft ngayong Linggo.
“’Yung FIBA window, all-Gilas (cadet) team ‘yun,” wika ni Vargas sa press briefing matapos ang two-day planning session ng liga.
“The PBA will not be asked to contribute any players, other than those we have contributed already during the draft this year, and the previous draft.”
“In the Olympic qualifying tournament, ganoon din po. It will be an all-Gilas (cadets) team,” dagdag pa niya.
