KAHIT sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic ay tuloy-tuloy ang konstruksiyon ng transport infrastructures sa ilallm ng ‘Build Build Build’ program ng pamahalaan, ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr).
Ayon kay DOTR Secretary Arthur Tugade, ilang high-ticket projects ang magiging operational na ngayong taon.
“Habang tayo’y nakikibaka at nilalabanan ang pandemya, ang Build Build Build ho ay tuloy-tuloy. Hindi ho ito nawala,” sabi ni Tugade sa Talk to the People ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte noong Huwebes.
Sa naturang pagpupulong ay iprinisinta ni Tugade ang ilang nagpapatuloy at natapos na transport infrastructure projects, tulad ng kon-struksiyon ng bagong passenger terminal building sa Calbayog Airport, na magtataas sa passenger capacity sa 450 mula 176.

Binanggit din niya ang Port of Maribojoc sa Bohol na 95 percent nang kumpleto hanggang noong Marso at magsisilbing dedicated cargo terminal at ang isang alternative port sa Port of Tagbilaran na malapit na ring matapos at maaaring maging operational sa Mayo o Hunyo ngayong taon.
