Tumaas ang employment rate sa 92.3 percent noong Mayo mula sa 91.3 percent noong Abril habang ang underemployment rate ay bumaba sa 12.3 percent mula sa 17.2 percent.
Kaya ang unemployment rate ay bumaba sa down 7.7 percent mula 8.7 percent.
Ang pagtaas sa employment rate ay bunga ng patuloy na pagbubukas ng ekonomiya na nagbigay-daan para mas maramlng manggagawa ang magkaroon ng trabaho.
Ang second-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) report ay nakatakdang ipalabas sa Agosto 10.
Sa unang tatlong buwan ng taon, ang GDP ng bansa ay nagtala ng contraction na 4.2 percent, mas maganda sa -8.3 percent sa naunang quarter.
Ang growth target ng mga economic manager para ngayong taon ay nasa pagitan ng 6 percent at 7 percent, habang sa susunod na taon ay 7 percent hanggang 9 percent at sa 2023-2024 ay 6 percent hanggang 7 percent.
