NANINDIGAN ang pamunuan ng Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) na walang pagsabotahe sa alokasyon ng tubig sa Manila Water kasunod ng isyu sa water crisis.
Sa isang press briefing, pinalagan ni MWSS chief regulator Patrick Ty ang akusasyon na ipinasara niya ang bypass na pinagkukunan ng supply ng Manila Water.
“As much as possible, we should always be wisely advised and well informed on matters pertaining to issues that involved the welfare of the people, so as to avoid misleading information,” pahayag ni Ty.
“We have already identified several short term solutions and we are working on them. For the record, the bypass is open. It is not closed, if it is (closed) Manila Water would not have any water at all,” dagdag pa niya.
Ayon sa opisyal, hindi sarado ang naturang pasilidad, at walang kontrol ang kanilang tanggapan para manipulahin ito kasunod ng pagpapakita nito ng diagram ng pinagdadaluyan ng tubig mula sa mga dam. BENEDICT ABAYGAR, JR.
