MAY sapat na panahon ang TnT Tropang Giga na magpahinga at makapaghanda.
Habang naghahanda ang Tropang Giga para sa playoff battle sa PBA Philippine Cup, kailangan ng koponan ng lahat ng kaginhawaan na makukuha nito lalo na’t nakatuon ang lahat sa kanila bilang no. 1 seeded team pa-pasok sa quarterfinals.
Ikinatuwa ni coach Chot Reyes ang pagkakaroon ng isang linggong pahinga ng TnT makaraang tapusin ang elimination round campaign ng mas maaga sa ibang koponan na naghahanap ng magandang puwesto sa quarter-final round.
Tumapos ang Tropang Giga sa ibabaw ng standings na may 10-1 record.
Una sa lahat, sinabi ni Reyes na mahalagang manatiling malusog ang koponan, at ang kinakailangang bakasyon ay sapat na para makapagpahinga ang mga player, kabilang sina injured back-ups Glenn Khobuntin at Kib Montalbo.
Si Khobuntin ay hindi nakapaglaro sa huling apat na games ng TnT dahil sa strained groin, habang si Montalbo ay lumiban sa final game kontra Alaska dahil sa knee injury.
“Hopefully this one-week break can get everyone healthy,” sabi ni Reyes.

“There are areas that we wanted to shore up. There are still some lapses on defense. We’re trying to consistently upgrade our defense as well as our execution on offense. You know those are little things,” ani Reyes.
“That’s why for us, we’re focus on getting better. Believe me there are areas we are really focus on in our practice, in our viewing that we feel we should get better if we’re going to compete and beat the big boys.”
