NAGKAKAROON na ng linaw ang posibleng tambalan nina Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte at Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian sa 2022 presidential at vice presidential elections.
Ito’y matapos magpahayag ng intensiyon si dating Sen. Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. na tumakbong presidente sa oras na makasiguro na makakakumpleto ito ng lineup sa darating na halalan.
Magugunitang kamakailan ay may mga nagpalutang ng usap-usapan sa posibilidad ng tandem nina Mayor Sara at Bongbong Marcos pero malamig umano sa ideyang ito ang huli dahil mas gusto nitong tumakbong presidente.
Kinumpirma naman ni Sen. Gatchalian na nagkaroon na sila ng pag-uusap ni Mayor Sara sa posibleng tambalan pero hindi pa nito nilinaw kung plantsado na ang kasunduan. “I talked to Mayor Sara a few months back. And we talked about my plans,” pahayag ng senador nitong Miyerkoles.
Kung matutuloy ang tambalan, may maganda ng slogan na naisip ang mga tagasuporta ni Gatchalian sa Cebu: “Kay Sara, Win Tayo.”
Sinabi rin ni Gatchalin na wala pa namang pinal na napagdesisyunan. “I’m vying for the VP position, but this is still very fluid,” pahayag ni Gatchalian, miyembro ng Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC).
Ayon pa sa senador, kinonsulta rin niya si Sen. Tito Sotto na NPC chairman na naunang naghayag na tatakbo rin sa pagka-bise presidente ka-tandem si Senador Ping Lacson.
“We’re talking, everything right now is fluid, although that is my intention. My mind is open to that,” sabi ng senador.
Naniniwala si Gatchalian na sa 20 taon ng kanyang karanasan sa pagtatrabaho sa gobyerno ay malaki ang maitutulong niya sa taumbayan kung mananalo siya bilang bise presidente ng bansa.
Kaugnay nito, kung si Albay Rep. Joey Salceda ang tatanungin, mas gusto nitong suportahan ang tandem nina Mayor Sara at Senador Win.
Si Salceda na kilalang kaibigan ni Mayor Sara ang unang nagsabi na tatakbo ang alkalde sa pagkapangulo sa 2022 base umano sa kanilang pag uusap. Maagap ding nagpahayag ng suporta si Salceda kay Sara kahit wala pa itong pormal na anunsiyo para sa 2022.
Napili rin ng kongresista na suportahan sa pagka bise-presidente si Gatchalian dahil nakita umano niya ang galing ng pagdating sa usapin sa ekonomiya.
