MULING pinulong ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman at Chief of Mission William ‘Butch’ Ramirez ang kanyang deputies at staff, kasama sina Commissioners Arnold Agustin, Ramon Fernandez at Charles Raymond Maxey, at PSI Executive Director Marc Velasco upang talakayin ang nalalapit na 30th Southeast Asian Games.
“Clock is slowly ticking down. We thoroughly discussed all salient matters and ironed out minor kinks related to SEA Games. We have to work doubly hard and consolidated our efforts to ensure the success of the competition and show to our counterparts in the region we work as one with one common goal,” sabi ni Ramirez.
“This is a multifarious task assigned to me. I have to do it no matter how enormous the job is because the name of the country is at stake hosting the biggest sports spectacle in the region,” wika ni Ramirez sa panayam sa kanya ng PILIPINO Mirror.
“We have to be in a hurry and spend extra period because SEA Games is just around the corner. The arm of the clock is slowly ticking down and every second is precious. Time wasted is opportunity missed.
“I regularly communicate with Rep. Tolentlno and Speaker Cayetano finding ways to ensure the success of the Games,” dag-dag ni Ramirez.
Gaganapin ang SEA Games sa apat na venues – New Clark City Sports Complex, Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Philippine Sports Arena, at Subic Freeport Zone kung saan gagawin ang water sports. CLYDE MARIANO
