Senado nagbigay pugay sa mga bayani sa gitna ng pandemya

KASABAY sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kagitingan, nagbigay pugay si Senador Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa sa mga frontliner na mga bayani sa panahon ng pandemya.

“Fighting the coronavirus within our territory, a new breed of Filipino heroes has emerged. We call them frontliners,” pahayag ni dela Rosa.

Hindi lamang ang mga healthworker ang nagsasakripispyo dahil sa pandemya kundi maging ang mga indibidwal na tumutulong upang mapanatili ang kaayusan sa kabila ng pandemya.

“They are the heroes in white gowns caring for patients in hospitals, the heroes equipped with syringes as they administer the much needed Covid19 vaccines to our health workers, other frontliners and residents of different LGUs, the heroes in blue or green uniforms and rattan sticks ensuring safety and order in the streets, the heroes in motorcycles delivering food and other essential items to families, and many other Filipino good Samaritans who are spreading good deeds in this time of the pandemic,” dagdag niya.

Samantala, nagbigay pugay rin siya sa mga sundalong inialay ang buhay at nakidigma noong World War 2.

“In celebrating today the Araw ng Kagitingan, let us all salute our forebearers who offered their lives at the altar of freedom during the Japanese invasion,” aniya.

“The valor of our heroes, nameless and faceless most of them, who bravely stood and fell in the battlegrounds of Bataan in a gallant effort to defend our flag, is an indelible testimony of our forefathers’ patriotism and nationalism,” dagdag niya. LIZA SORIANO
