IKINAGALAK ng halos 10 milyong senior citizen ang pagpapadali ng proseso sa pagtanggap nila ng kanilang pensyon sa panahon ng COVID 19 pandemic.
Ayon kay Senior Citizen Partylist Rep. Rodolfo ‘Ompong’ Ordanes, malaking kaluwagan sa kanila ang naging desisyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force na pagaanin ang mga hakbangin sa pagkuha ng pensyon.
Ito ay makaraang atasan ng IATF ang mga pension-issuing agencies kasama ang kanilang accredited banks at iba pang financial institutions na gumawa ng alternatibong pamamaraan para hindi maantala ang pagtanggap ng pensyon at pagbibigay serbisyo sa ating mga nakakatandang mamamayan.
Sa utos ng IATF hindi na kailangan pa ang ‘personal appearance’ ng pensioners para magsumite ng mga kinakailangan dokumento at para magtuloy tuloy ang kanilang buwanang pensyon simula sa darating na Marso 1.
“Nakakatiyak ako na sa hakbang ng Malakanyang at IATF mawawala na ang mga pangamba ng mga pensioner na maaring maputol ang kanilang pension kapag hindi sila personal na nakapunta sa mga kinauukulang ahensiya tulad ng Government Service Insurance Service at Social Security System,” pahayag ni Ordanes.
“Hindi pa nawawala ang banta ng COVID 19 at kinikilala naman natin na ang ating mga mahal na ‘senior’ ay kabilang sa ‘vulnerable sector,’ ibig sabihin lubhang mapanganib sa kanila ang lumabas ng kanilang bahay,” dagdag pa ng kongresista.
Ang hakbang ng IATF ay patunay lamang na lubos na pinagmamalasakitan at iniingatan ng administrasyon Duterte ang mga senior citizens.
“Ako, bilang kinatawan ng Senior Citizens partylist group ay una nang dumulog at nakiusap sa SSS at GSIS na magpatuloy pa ang suspensyon ng ‘personal appearances’ ng kanilang nakakatandang pensioner dahil sa nagpapatuloy na pandemya,” paalala ng mambabatas.PMRT
