Over 700 families hit by the massive fire in Cavity City received Kalinga packs from the SM Group.
Cavite City was placed in a state of calamity on Tuesday, July 16, due to the massive fire incident that razed two coastal villages in Brgy. Dalahican.
Responding to this, SM Foundation activated its Operation Tulong Express (OPTE) to provide aid to the affected residents.
The foundation distributed over 700 Kalinga packs to the fire victims in Cavite City, providing immediate relief to hundreds of families impacted by the disaster.
OPTE, a social good program of SM Foundation, is mobilized in collaboration with SM Supermalls and SM Markets. The initiative aims to deliver quick response during calamities and crises, ensuring that essential supplies reach affected individuals, especially from vulnerable communities.
To date, OPTE has distributed over 800,000 Kalinga packs nationwide.
